To use the Red Lantern, players need to ensure they are online and then take outthe Umbral Lamp inLords of the Fallen. Lock on the Red Lantern and Soulflay it to reveal a path of red butterflies. After that, follow the red butterflies as the insects are leading players towards an enemy. Sometimes the butterflies will move over a broken bridge or inside the lake, which means lampbearers should probably use the Umbral Lamp to proceed forward.
Upon reaching the marked enemy, players will realize that, unlike the rest, the enemy possesses a name and larger health than the normal one. Defeating it will also yield more rewards than usual and one of them is thePlucked Eyeball.
The butterflies aren’t limited to the Axiom Realm, as occasionally lampbearers might follow the red butterflies to an enemy in the Umbral Realm.
What Is The Red Lantern In Lords Of The Fallen
Red Lantern is one of the online mechanics inLords of the Fallen. It actually represents a dead lampbearer who was killed byone of the nearby enemies. After Soulflaying the Red Lantern, the red butterflies will guide players to the enemy that killed the lampbearer in another world.
As for the names that appear on the marked enemy, they are actually the names of the fallen lampbearers. So in a nutshell, players are avenging the death of their fellow lampbearers by killing the enemies that ended their journey.
Where To Find Red Lantern In Lords Of The Fallen
Red Lantern doesn’t really have specific spawning spots. Players can find it in random places in all the areas. It’s possible that the Lantern could be found floatingnear a Vestige inLords of the Fallenor a bit further away deep inside the area as players stumble upon it while exploring.
Players aren’t forced to Soulflay the Red lantern and follow the butterflies as it’s fine to simply ignore it. However, ignoring it does mean missing out on extra Vigor and some rarely dropped Plucked Eyeballs.
Where To Use Plucked Eyeballs In Lords Of The Fallen
Plucked Eyeball is a reward for killing Red Lanternenemies inLords of the Fallen. It’s a special drop that can be used in Skyrest Bridge at the Shrine of the Putrid Mother, which is an online shop that’s found in the Umbral Realm, near Molhu.
The online shop is used by all lampbearers as all of them can donate Plucked Eyeballs to unlock more unique items in the shop. The available items are mostly Armor Tincts for coloring gear pieces.
