Getting more money, both in the form of Regional Wealth and as Treasury gold, is an ever-present concern for players inManor Lords. One of the best ways to increase Regional Wealth isvia Trading, and it’s in players’ best interest to get started early.
However, once players build a Trading Post and are ready to start trading goods, they’ll find that simply making the building doesn’t seem to do anything. No exports or imports are taking place and all goods continue to sitin the Storehouse, regardless of what the player does. Investigating the Trading Post context menu reveals that all items are set to‘No Trade.’This is not an error but thedefault setting for all newly built Trading Posts. Here’s how players can change it.

How to Fix Trade Rule Set to ‘No Trade’ in Manor Lords
Players can change the‘No Trade’rule by clicking on it andselecting another trade option from the drop-down menu. Clicking on‘No Trade’will show an expanded list of choices relating to the trade of the item. There will be four options here. This is what they mean:
The item will not be traded. No import, no export.
Import
The settlement will use its Regional Wealth to buy the item from traders until the desired surplus is reached.
Export
The item will besold to traders in exchange for Regional Wealthuntil the desired surplus is reached.
Full Trade
The item will be imported and exported to maintain the desired surplus.
The import/export price of every item is shown in front of its name on the trading menu. The lower price is how much regional wealth will be earned by selling it as an export (per item), and the higher price is how much it would cost to import the item.

To initiate the trade, make sure toassign a familyto the Trading Postas well. Without workers to man the building, no trade will take place.
What is Desired Surplus in Manor Lords?
The desired surplus is theamount of a traded item players want to havein their possession. If an item is being imported, players will need to specify how much of that item they want to import. If, for example, they want to import some Iron Slabs to maketwo Plate Mail, they need 16 Iron Slabs and no more.
If they set the desired surplus for Iron Slabs in the trade menu as 16 and set the trade rule to Import, the Trading Post workers work with traders to buy 16 Iron Slabs and then stop.

Similarly, if a player has 200 Berries in stock and wants to export them to earn some cash but doesn’t want to sell everything until the stock falls to 0, they can set a custom surplus amount, say 50 Berries. The traders will come and buy 150 berries, leaving 50 berries untouched.
The maximum amount of desired surplus for any item is 999.
The desired surplus amount can be increased and decreased using theitem’s plus and minus signs in the trade row. It can also be inputted directly by clicking on the number to the right of the plus icon. This figure can be changed at any time.
How to Fix ‘Route Required’ in Manor Lords
Some trade goods inManor Lordswill have‘Route Required’in red instead of‘No Trade’in the trading menu. Items tagged with‘Route Required’cannot be traded until a Major Trade Route is purchased. This can be done by clicking the oxcart icon on the far right of the trading menu, in front of the item name. The amount ofRegional Wealthrequired to purchase that item will be displayed next to it. This amount can range anywhere between 100 to 600.
