For example, players will begin the game, more or less, with Doctor Strange, Iron Man, and Captain Marvel, with them being quickly joined by Magik, Nico Minoru, Blade, and Ghost Rider. From there, players will unlockSpider-Man inMarvel’s Midnight Sunsin a few hours, and Wolverine around 10-12 hour mark. It’s unknown when Scarlet Witch and Captain America become playable, but they won’t be the last one. There’s one moreMarvel’s Midnight Suns character yet to be revealed, and they’ll be unlocked at the end of the game.
When asked at what point players would have all ofMarvel’s Midnight Sunscharacters unlocked, Solomon said,
“You have to beat the game to get the last one, yeah…That’s one we have not announced yet.”
It’s uncertain who this character is, with Solomon understandably unable to share more, and it’s uncertain when they’ll be revealed. They may very well be kept under wraps until players beat the game, which would add a nice surprise and reward toMarvel’s Midnight Suns. It should be noted that the game features New Game Plus, and while this has yet to be confirmed, it stands to reason that players will be able to carry over all their characters and their builds to the next playthrough.
It’s going to be quite the journey getting to that point, though.Marvel’s Midnight Sunsis approximated to take 60 hours to beat, with 60% of that being the game’s tactical combat and the remaining 40% being tied toMarvel’s Midnight Suns' social systems, exploration, and more. For now, fans will just have to wait and see who’s at the end of the line.
Marvel’s Midnight Sunsreleases October 7 for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
