Strategy
With the Onslaughts' ability being “Double your other Ongoing effects at this location,” there are a few initial factors the player should be aware of to fully get the most out of this powerful card. As his ability positively affects other cards, the player will want to focus a location with ability cards to surprise the enemy with a big final play. Thesecards will have to have “Ongoing” effectsthis means the added bonus of the card is applied throughout the game rather than just when the card is drawn.
With this said, the player will want to focus on 2 locations to give Onslaught the best chance of having a positive impact on the game. Assess the first location that is drawn (Uatu the Watcher can help to view the rest of them)and play the first three cards here. Then use cards 4, 5, and Onslaught to gain the second location.

Alternatively, the player can alternate cards to different locations to throw off the enemy and spread the card’s power more evenly. As this strategy focuses on only 2 locations, the player essentially has all their eggs in one basket for the majority of the game. Bringing the Armor card can prevent any threat from the enemy.
Essential Cards
With a strategy sorted, it’s time to look at some essential cards the player may want to include in their deck.
Iron Man is an easy choice herewith the ability to double the power at a location as an ongoing effect. This means on turns 5 and 6 alone these 2 cards paired together can generate over 28 points with no other effects applied.Devil Dinosaur is an alternative hereas long as the player’s deck is full of cards.

Omega Red has a similar effect to Mister Fantastic, however, his effect only activates when the location is 10 points ahead of the enemy. With theability to benefit both other locationswith 8 extra power, this card is essential for Onslaught builds.
As mentioned before, the player will want to protect their deck using armor. This is due to cards such as Elektra and Killmonger becoming more popular among the Silver, Gold, and Platinum level of play. Although this card doesn’t have direct synergy with Onslaught it will help to eliminate any plans the enemy has of removing one of the player’s cards.
Blue Marvel can bring some added bonuses to all cards, especially with Onslaught’s ability. Similarly, the Spectrum card can give the Ongoing cards an additional 2 power. This is also an energy 6 card so can rarely be played alongside Onslaught, however, she is a great alternative when Onslaught may not have been pulled from the player’s deck.

Finally, some ideal 1-cost cards such as Sunspot and Ant-Man can come in handy to give the cards at their respective locations an additional boost.
Cards to Avoid
When considering the strategy, there are a few cards to avoid adding to the deck.
Namor is the first of these. As the strategy is tofocus all the cards on 2 locations, Namor’s ability becomes somewhat worthless and may only serve to bluff the enemy into thinking of a different play. As well as this, Enchantress will make it difficult to play certain cards as she removes all ongoing abilities from the location (including the player’s). As this deck will primarily be built from Ongoing focussed cards, it’s wise to stay away from Enchantress.
Destroy and Discard cardsmay also add some chaos to the mix. There is no need torely on destroy-based abilitiesas Onslaught’s main power will double this effect, perhaps doubling the destruction of the win.
As Onslaught is a six-cost card, it’s wise to keep other 6 cost alternatives out of the deck. It can be a great option to have additional final-round cards in the deck as its never certain that Onslaught will be pulled into the hand. Bringing Spectrum or Doctor Doom can be a good choice, but focusing the deck on the lower energy cards is wise as the strategy heavily relies on winning a location with these cards.
