The release ofMass Effect: Legendary Editionearlier this year reignited a lot of the passion that fans had for the sci-fi trilogy that might have died down in the years followingMass Effect 3’s release. Because it’s so fresh in the community’s mind, many are seeing the classic N7 logo in places that it doesn’t exist and then adding it in with a little help from photo editors.
Posted to the sub-Reddit r/MassEffect, Reddit user u/GoodMoleman2You posted this photo of a Michael Kors bag that they edited to include Commander Shepard’s iconic vocational code from all three games in the mainMass Effecttrilogy. The bag itself originally has a black exterior with a bold red and white stripe straight down the center which bears a striking resemblance to the stripe found on Shepard’s armor.

The exclusion of the “N7” logo from the bag feels like a major missed opportunity for a crossover between the two brands. The past several years have proven that now more than ever,gaming-related luxury items and accessoriesare in high demand. What’s more, while the target demographics for theMass Effectseries and Michael Kors might be slightly misaligned, a crossover would likely still go over well with fans of the sci-fi epic.
As mentioned above, theMass Effectseries has been making something of a comeback as of late thanks toMass Effect: Legendary Editiongiving fans a reason to revisit the PS3/Xbox 360 era classic RPGs. The remastered collection has breathed new life into the franchise as BioWare continues to work onthe upcomingMass Effect 4.
Speculation regarding the game, which was announced during the 2020 Game Awards, has been running rampant ever since asMass Effect 4’s teaser trailerhas some implications regarding the ending ofMass Effect 3that now is fresh in many fans' minds following a replay of the series onLegendary Edition.
Many fans are hoping to see another look at the nextMass Effectgame during the 2021 Game Awards as the project has gone entirely silent following its initial reveal last year. BioWare has been publicly discussing the remastered games, even joining in onthe memeification of theMass Effectseries, but the studio hasn’t said anything substantial about what to expect forMass Effect 4or when fans can even expect to hear more about it. For now, the community will just have to settle on editing the N7 logo onto accessories and other items while they wait for more.
