Minecraftis one of the most universal video games today, in that just about anyone can pick it up and find something they like. For some that’s playing the game with friends, for others it isrecreatingMonty Python and the Holy Grail.
Creation mode allows for some truly breathtaking marvels to be made inMinecraft, and the only limit really does seem to be the player’s imagination. Some look to history or real life architecture for inspiration, while others turn to other games or media, but every now and then, someone will create something incredible inMinecraftbased onMinecraftitself.

One intrepid player built a structure based on one of the enemies in the game: a Ravager. While creation is a big part ofMinecraft, playing the game itself is also a big draw for many, with raids being a huge part of that. The game’s roster of enemies continues to grow, andplayers even got the opportunity to vote on newMinecraftmobslast October. The Ravager is a big, intimidating beast that Pillagers will sometimes ride on. The difference with this Ravager construct is that it is very, very large. And also carrying an entire fortress.
The titanic Ravager towers above trees at a height that makes it visible for miles. There’s a visible structure on its side that seems to be a saddle strap and a huge fortress situated on its back. The fortress consists of two main buildings, an enormous flag pole, and an equally enormous ballista pointing in the same direction the Ravager is facing. Obviously, this is not a moving creation like thefunctioning printer oneMinecraftplayer built, but that makes it no less impressive. It’s a monument to a vision of something the creator thought would be awesome to actually have in-game.
A lot of work and hours goes into the building of something like the giant Ravager, which is why it’s always worth celebrating a creation of such caliber. It’s hardly the only way to pay tribute inMinecraftof course, as another player chose audio and usednote blocks to play out “Still Alive” fromPortal.
Some might think that there’s a significant barrier of entry to creating inMinecraft, since there’s a lot of materials and tricks to learn. Thanks to the internet, however, many of those tricks and tips are easy to learn quickly, such asusing ice to fill areas with water quickly. With easy-to-use tools and tutorials, anyone can build the structure (or giant siege engine) of their dreams.
