According to the latest data collected by NPD, as reported by GameSpot,Elden Ringhas been dethroned byModern Warfare 2.Modern Warfare 2topped the charts for the past two months in terms of revenue generated, making it the most successful title released in 2022. This is quite an accomplishment given the intense competition that was present in the US gaming market this year.
There’s no denying thatElden Ringis one of the top games of the year 2022; it wonseveral awards at The Game Awards 2022. But its chances of beatingModern Warfare 2are slim, and that’s becauseCall of Dutygames tend to do better during the holidays.
Activision Blizzard already has plans in place to keep its fan base engaged, with a big patch coming on December 14th. One of the key features of the upcoming patch is the addition of ascalable social feature that will allow players to create groups of up to 5000 members. This feature will definitely help streamers build their communities.
