The long-awaited Early Access release ofMount & Blade 2: Bannerlordis quickly approaching. The prequel to the hugely popular 2008 strategy action gameMount & Blade: Warbandhas been years in the making, but fans are soon to be rewarded. That reward may be coming sooner than expected, even, as Friday morning TaleWorlds Entertainment made a surprise announcement.Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlordwill launch in Early Access a day earlier than expected, on March 30 instead of March 31.
TaleWorlds made the decision as part of the studio’s concern over the ongoingCOVID-19 pandemic. The studio confirmed that its employees are currently working from home, but that it understands this isn’t a privilege everyone has. As such, the game will not only be released early so that those at home can play, but the game will also be discounted so fans can save a bit of money. For the first two weeks of Early Access,Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlordwill be 10% off full price.
