With an agile and strategic trajectory guiding his speed, Gran Torino can take on even the strongest of foes.
His perfect command over his quirk is one of the reasons why he was able to train both All Might and Deku. Since speed is the primary aspect of both quirks, Gran Torino served as the perfect mentor for thetwo bearers of One For All. However, speed isn’t the only thing he relies on, as a keen intellect is his other weapon of choice, an asset that has played a crucial role in many of his fights.
Gran Torino’s Feats in Battle
Gran Torino’s strength isn’t merely speculation, as several instances of battle reveal exactly why this old man is the Symbol of Peace’s mentor. Gran Torino’s speed is so impressive that opponents can’t even see him coming. Most enemies are knocked out before they can even see him coming. Jet’s speed further makes it impossible to hit Gran Torino with any attacks, since he can easily evade them with his untraceable speed. He was even able to dodgethe attacks of a Nomu, which is an impressive feat considering how debilitating these artificial monsters can be.

If Gran Torino’s own feats weren’t enough to depict the true extent of his power, mentoring the two strongest heroes of all time is surely enough to paint the full picture. Gran Torino never possessed One For All himself, yet he was able to teach the quirk and its intricate workings to both All Might and Deku.
