Call of Duty: Modern WarfareandWarzoneSeason 3 is set to kick off on April 8, and like past seasons, it will introduce new playable multiplayer Operators for players to try out. Activision has confirmed three multiplayer Operators that will be coming toCall of Duty: Modern Warfarethroughout Season 3, including a familiar face from the campaign, Alex. Please note that discussing Alex inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare’s multiplayer will require some campaignspoilers, so those that have yet to finish the story should proceed with caution.
Anyone that purchases theModern WarfareSeason 3 Battle Pass will get instant access to Alex once the update goes live on April 8. Those that have played through theModern Warfarecampaignmay be confused by Alex’s inclusion, as he was supposedly killed off at the end of the story. However, it appears as though Alex actually survived the explosion that was supposed to end his life, and he has just been in hiding until Captain Price called him back into action. Alex didn’t escape the explosion completely unscathed, however; he’s lost his leg, and is now sporting a prosthetic one as a result.

Later in the season,Modern Warfarefans can expect a couple more playable Operators to join the mix, though they will have to be purchased separately. This will include Ronin, a “saboteur and master of multiple fighting systems” who is apparently armed with dual knives for his Finishing Move, if theModern WarfareSeason 3 traileris anything to go by. New Allegiance fighter Iskra will also be made available later in Season 3 as well, though no specific release date is available for her or Ronin at the time of this writing.

It will be interesting to see howModern Warfarefans react to Alex, Ronin, and Iskra. After all, there was a somewhat mixed reception toGhost as a playable Operator in Season 2, as some fans were upset with the way his mask looked, and others still were frustrated when his Finishing Move caused them to fall off high platforms due to its animation. Hopefully similar issues are avoided with the newModern WarfareSeason 3 Operators.
Besides new playable Operators,Modern WarfareSeason 3will also add new maps, modes, and more for fans to check out come April 8.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfareis out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
