Announced earlier this month,Mortal Kombat 11’s Kombat Pack 2 will allow fans to battle to the bitter end with a handful of new fighters. Among those announced were thefan favorite, Mileena, one of Shang Tsung’s genetic experiments and adopted daughters; Rain, a half-god with the ability to control water; and perhaps one of the most bizarre and interesting characters to join the roster, Rambo, the rogue action hero from the titular film series.

While Rain and Mileena have had a fairly persistent presence in theMortal Kombatseries, this marks the first time fans will be able to play as Rambo. Although, characters from films are nothing new to the series.Mortal Kombat 11already hosts the Terminator, whileMortal Kombat Xhad a Xenomorph fromAliens, a Predator fromPredator, Jason Vorhees fromFriday the 13th, and Leatherface from theTexas Chainsaw Massacre. EvenNightmare on Elm Street’s Freddy Krueger made his debut in 2011’sMortal Kombatreboot.

Since his announcement, fans have not seen any of Rambo’s moveset. While his classic bow and arsenal will assuredly make an appearance, it in unclear on exactly how he’ll utilize these tools to fend off thegod-powered fighters the series is known for. However, announced today via the officialMortal Kombat 11 UltimateTwitter, was that fans will be getting their first look at Rambo in action on October 28th with an all-new Kombat Kast.

For those maybe out of the loop, the Kombat Kast is an in-depth look at the various fightersMortal Kombat 11has to offer. The Kombat Kast series is ran by NetherRealm Studios' Community Specialist, Tyler Lansdown, Senior QA Analyst, Stephanie Brownback, and their co-host, Derek Kirtzic. Each episode of the web series showcases a single character as the team details everything within that character’s kit from basic moves, to X-ray moves, even as far as the deadly Fatalities. Just this week, fans got afirst look at Rain’s water-logged attacks.

Fans have been patiently waiting to see what weapons Rambo will be bringing with him and speculation is rampant. Will Rambo use projectiles to zone out other characters? Or will he get in close with a hunting knife to quickly slash foes away from him? With five films under his belt, there is a lot of inspiration to pull from for Rambo, especially consideringSylvester Stallone will be voicing his character.

Althoughsome fans may be upset to see such a gun heavy characterin a game that typically offers melee weapons, it will be interesting to see how NetherRealm Studios pulls this off when Rambo is officially revealed on October 28th’s Kombat Kast.

Mortal Kombat 11is available now on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
