This week, Capcom held a live-streamed gameplay showcase forMonster Hunter Rise, arguably one of the biggestNintendo Switch releases for 2021. During the presentation, new gameplay details were revealed, showing off the new Wirebug mechanic and a feature that allows hunters to ride on top of Wyverns and control their movement and their attack moves. When playing a single-player game, one thing that is sure to break the immersion for any player is when non-playable characters behave in a way that do not seem realistic or intelligent. Not that all NPCs need to be perfect in terms of how they react, but there are somevideo games that do have decent AI systems, and they make them work. Amazon Game Studios’New Worldenjoyed a very successful launch a little over a month ago, with a whopping total of over 700,000 concurrent players on Steam active on day one.
