Among the Pals available inPalworld’searly game,Roobycan be a great help. As one of the two Pals catchable early who have the Kindling Work Suitability, Rooby can become a vital part of any base. Similarly, their fire attacks make them excellent for fending off Grass Pals and causing damage over time with lingering flames.
Luckily, while Rooby doesn’t spawn in every starting area inPalworld, the ones where it does spawn offer plenty of opportunities to catch them. This makes it fairly easy to earn the EXP bonus for catching 10 of them.

Where to Find Rooby
Rooby mainly spawns in the vicinity of three-player spawn points. The first of these is Marsh Island, which has opportunities for Rooby to spawn all over it. The second location is the Flying Fish Coast, where they spawn in the eastern portion of the zone. Finally, they can also be found everywhere on the Forgotten Island.
Outside the starting zones, Rooby can also be found north of the Eastern Wild Island. Look for a strip of volcanic land on the island directly north of Eastern Wild Island to track them down.
Rooby are not terribly dangerous in combat, though players should at least attempt to dodge its fire to avoid taking damage over time. Indeed, Rooby’s health tends to be quite low in many of the locations mentioned above, so players will need to be cautious when weakening it for the catch. To avoid killing it, melee weapons or traps are the recommended way to set it up and catch it.
Rooby’s Abilties
Rooby is an incredibly straightforward Fire Pal, offering attacks that light foes aflame while having a small-ish hitbox to help it avoid attacks more easily. When helping out at the base, Rooby has Kindling 1 as a Work Suitability. This allows it to cook food and power furnaces around the base to great effect.
While it will likely get replaced around the base by Pals with better Kindling Work Suitability later on, Rooby can be hugely helpful in the early game. When setting up a new base, Rooby’s low food requirements can make it a helpful ally while getting established, while also cooking food to keep the player and any other Pals on the base well-fed.
