How To Pet Your Pals?
To pet a pal, it’s very simple. Firstly, the player must have a Pal out of their party, or a Pal that’s working in the base. The player must then approach the Pal and open up a menu that will show the petting option.
This menu can be opened by pressing the 4 key on a keyboard for PC, or by pressing on the right analog stick when playing on Xbox. Once this menu is opened and the player is next to a Pal, the option to pet the Pal becomes available, next toother options such as Feeding the Palor commanding them.
This menu can also be useful for a lot other than petting, so the player should definitely keep it in mind for future use.
Is Petting a Pal of Any Use?
The main reason players might pet their pals is simply just that Pals are adorable creatures. The creatures will reward the player with a big smile, which many players will find heartwarming. So beyond that, the players might not find any better use of this feature.
However, there is indeed another use for petting, and that’s to increase your Pal’s sanity. With each pat, the Pal’s sanity will go up by 1.It isn’t the most efficient way to raise a Pal’s sanity, but it is still something.
Increasing a Pal’s sanity is essential, as with low sanity, these creatures will develop negative status effects, such as depression, and will be less useful overall.
