Based on ratings published by the Pan European Game Information (PEGI) review board Tuesday, it appears that Blue Manchu’sVoid Bastardswill be released on the PlayStation 4 and 4A Games’Metro Reduxwill be released on the Nintendo Switch sometime in the near future.

Void Bastardsis a strategic, rogue-like first-person shooter set in deep space that was inspired by theBioShockseries andSystem Shock 2. It was an Indie title created by people who previously worked onBioShockthat was published through the digital storefront Humble Bundle in May 2019.

Metro Reduxis a 2014 HD rerelease of the post-apocalyptic survival horror gamesMetro 2033andMetro: Last Light, both based on the series of “Metro” novels by Dmitry Glukhovsky. The latest game in the franchise,Metro Exodus, came out in February 2019 andanother sequel is already in development.

These ratings came just before the new year from PEGI, the European equivalent of the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) in America. It differentiates its labels through numbers indicating what age is suitable to start playing the game rather than letters like “E” for Everyone or “M” for Mature.

Void Bastardsreceived a “16” on the PEGI scale because it features “use of strong language and encouragement of gambling.” MeanwhileMetro Reduxreceived an “18,” which means it includes some combination of “gross violence,” glamorized drug use or explicit sexual activity — though the reason for its rating is not specified the same way asVoid Bastardsbeyond general content descriptors for violence and bad language.

These expansions to other consoles would make a lot of sense.Void Bastardshas received plenty of attention from various game publications, released free DLC in September, and was nominated for Best 3D Visuals at the 2019 Unity Awards.

It may seem more unusual to releaseMetro Reduxnow given the game is over five years old. However, the series is continuing to release a steady stream of video games, and there isaMetrofilm adaptationplanned for release in 2022.

The video game industry is no stranger to console releases being leaked through review boards like PEGI, as was the case withtheTurokremaster last year. But at this point, neither game has been officially announced for these new platforms. Perhaps more will become known in the coming weeks as Nintendo and Sony drop more of their 2020 release schedules.

Void Bastardsis available now for Steam and Xbox One.
