Summary

Fans of thePokemonfranchise continue to share incredible new creature designs of their own, with one talented member of the community showing off a whole new take on Furret, an adorable and widely beloved critter among the fanbase as a whole. Originally introduced in the Gen 2Pokemongames, Furret is quite an iconic Normal-type Pokemon, which is a particularly common choice among players who prefer to collect their own variety of Pokemon that put cuteness before raw battle stats.

Despite its common appeal to fans, Furret has become an even more recognizable face to players all around the world thanks to the “walking Furret"meme infamous among the onlinePokemoncommunity. While Furret is obtainable in mostPokemongames, includingPokemon Scarlet and Violet, the drawback to its friendly face and fluffy appearance is its rather undesirable battle stats. Players interested in crafting stronger teams for the purposes of competitive multiplayer or otherwise have countless other critters to choose from, but some fan-made designs focus on redesigning Furret practically from the ground up.

One fan artist from thePokemoncommunity named Abbx has created an entirely new regional variant for Furret, which was designed for the creator’s conceptual “Pokemon Blood and Tear” titles. Furret’s “Nayuban Form” boasts a vastly different physical design when compared to the original Johtonian Furret and uses the Electric type in addition to Furret’s standard Normal type. The incorporation of the Electric type is represented in the creature’s design with bright yellow stripes representing lightning bolts and dark-gray fur, which makes this form of Furret seem like its body consists of a thundercloud. The artist even shows off ashiny version of thePokemon, which utilizes an electric-blue color scheme instead.

Though regional variants have existed within the core series ofPokemongames sincePokemon Sun and Moon, the manyHisuian forms introduced withPokemon Legends: Arceusoften featured particularly iconic designs and colors and have helped inspire fans to come up with plenty of similar concepts as well. Many creative members of thePokemoncommunity have more recently shown off many unofficial Pokemon designs based on a potential futurePokemon Legendsgame set in the Johto region, a rumored but completely unconfirmed title.
