New content is constantly being added toPokemon GOwith new Pokemon and new events all being expected by most players. In recent months,Pokemon from the Galar regionhave started appearing in-game, although there are still older Pokemon that aren’t present yet.
The Kalos region is one of the more recent additions toPokemon GO.Out of the other regions, it has one of the lowest counts of original Pokemon due to the sixth generation starting thePokemonseries' jump to 3D mainline games. Despite this, there are still Pokemon from Kalos missing from the mobile spin-off.

Rock and Dragon
Rock and Ice
Fighting and Flying
Electric and Fairy
Rock and Fairy
Dragon and Ground
Psychic and Dark

Of all these Pokemon, one of them does have a release date announced—the dual Electric and Fairy-type, Dedenne. It will be released alongside the upcomingFestival of Lights eventinPokemon GOstarting on Friday, November 5.
One Pokemon that is technically released but difficult to get from the Kalos region is Klefki. This dual Steel andFairy-type Pokemoncan only be found by players in France outside of special events.
When Will These Pokemon Be Released?
Other than Dedenne, the rest of the Kalos Pokemon have not yet had release dates announced forPokemon GO. Looking at future events and seasons, however, there are some missing Pokemon that could likely appear soon.
The most obvious of the missing Pokemon to make a possible upcoming appearance in Hoopa’s Unbound Form. As theSeason of Mischiefis still ongoing, the final form of Hoopa may be involved with the tail end of it. The beginning of the event introduced Hoopa’s confined form, so it makes sense for Hoopa’s other form to appear at the end. This event will be ending on August 03, 2025 at 10 AM in players' local timezones.
One Kalos Pokemon whose absence is surprising is Vivillon and the rest of its evolutionary line. This is due to Vivillon in the mainline games having different patterns based on players' real-world locations. Considering thatPokemon GOis about bringing people together and seeing the world, it is strange for a Pokemon based on different regional appearances to be missing from the game.
In the case of Vivillon, the number of patterns could be causing some difficulties for Niantic developers, delaying the Pokemon’s premiere. Without including its shiny form, Vivillon has twenty different patterns in total. It is unknown if the Pokemon will be following the same spawn map as in the original games at this time. Unlike some other unreleased Pokemon, there haven’t been any models found inPokemon GO’s data of Vivillon.
Pokemon GOis available on Android and iOS.
