ThePokemon GOTour: Kanto event has come and gone forPokemon GOplayers. While players that didn’t buy tickets for the event were able to enjoy certain parts alongside the paid participants, some players managed to get into the ticketed parts for free.
When the event was preparing to start,Pokemon GOplayers had the opportunity to buy either a Red Ticket or Green Ticket for more parts of thePokemon GOTour: Kanto event itself. These tickets cost players $11.99 USD and could not be paid for with in-game currency. Because of this, many buyers felt that it was unfair that certain players managed to get in without paying this price.

In response to this situation, thePokemon GOTour: Kanto Bonus eventwill be running inPokemon GOfrom March 5th to April 5th, 2021. This event will only be available for those who previously purchased the tickets so that they feel that they got their money’s worth.
This event offers many different valuable items that players can earn through timed research tasks as well as a free bundle. The free bundle contains three Remote Raid Passes that players can redeem in the in-game shop. It does not matter if players had purchased a Red Ticket or a Green Ticket as both tickets will yield the same rewards andtimed research tasksthat can be completed.
If players did not buy a ticket for thePokemon GOTour: Kanto event before the original event’s start, they will be unable to buy one for this event. These tickets are no longer being sold and this current event exists as more of an apology rather than a large scheduled event.
Players that did accidentally gain access to the paid parts of thePokemon GOTour: Kanto event will not lose their access to the event-exclusive special research tasks. This means that those few players who got this free access will still be able to work toward catching theirshiny Dittooffered by these research tasks. It is unknown if any actions are to be taken against those who purposefully used exploits.
Other events are still upcoming forPokemon GOplayers with theSeason of Legends eventbeing currently ongoing.
