AsPokemon GOplayersare sure to notice, the Mountains of Power Timed Research tasks put a great deal of emphasis on walking, and fans will really need to get moving if they want to claim all of the aforementioned rewards. However, that may be difficult for players that live in areas that are currently experiencing very cold temperatures, and those that are in that situation will undoubtedly want to minimize their walking. The best way to do that is to be smart when choosing a buddy Pokemon.

Indeed, the distance that a player must walk to receive a Candy varies based on thebuddy Pokemon inPoGOthat they select, and players should pick one that has a 1KM requirement for the purposes of completing the relevant tasks quickly. Many Pokemon have that walking requirement, and Pidgeot and Gyarados are common choices for players that are looking to earn Candies fast. While it is true that opting for one of these buddy Pokemon will not speed up Egg hatches, it will at least prevent players from needing to do any additional walking.
