Pokemon GO’s Rising Heroes is the latest season to hit Niantic’s popular mobile game. The season kicked off today, June 23, 2025, and will end on June 1. For the next few months, trainers can look forward to the addition of new Pokemon, such as Roaming Form Gimmighoul, thereturn of Elite Raids, and even some seasonal bonuses, such as one that gives players extra Stardust from encounters with Team GO Rocket.
Another new thing forPokemon GOplayers to partake in is a specialTimed Researchthat’s all about Professor Willow. By completing six fairly simple tasks, trainers will earn a bunch of new clothing itemsinspired by Willow, hence the name of the Timed Research, Willow’s Wardrobe. Players will not only get the clothes, but they can also earn anencounter with a Melmetalthat knows the Charged Attack Double Iron Bash.

However, beforePokemon GOplayers can work their way through Willow’s Wardrobe Timed Research tasks, folks will have to cough up some cash, and we’re not talking about PokeCoins. The only way to unlock the tasks are to head to the in-game shop andpay $4.99 for the Willow’s Wardrobe ticket. The research will be available until June 30, a few weeks after the conclusion of the Rising Heroes season.

ForPokemon GOplayers wondering how long it’ll take to get through the Timed Research Tasks, they can see them below. While they are fairly straightforward, it’ll take players some time to catch 50 Pokemon; however, it should be easy to do before the end of June if someone logs in at least every few days.
The reward for completing all tasks:Melmetal Encounter, 809 XP, and 809 Stardust.
Is Willow’s Wardrobe Ticket Worth It?
Seeing as how players would typically need 400Meltan Candy to evolve it into Melmetal, it might be worth the $5 to encounter the Mythical Pokemon. And those that really love picking outfits for their avatar might be into paying for the Willow clothing items. It’s really all up to the player at the end of the day.
