SomePokemon Scarlet and Violetfan art seems to have predicted one of the defining characteristics of the recently-revealed Paradox Raikou that will appear in the upcoming Indigo Disk DLC. The firstPokemon Scarlet and VioletDLC is called The Teal Mask, and it will be available starting September 13. The second DLC is The Indigo Disk, which doesn’t have a specific release date at the time of this writing but is expected to drop at some point in winter 2023. During the Pokemon Presents,three new Pokemon were revealed for The Indigo Disk DLC, including two that serve as Paradox forms for popular Legendary Pokemon from past main seriesPokemongames.

ThePokemon Scarlet and VioletIndigo Disk DLCwill add Paradox forms for Cobalion and Raikou, named Iron Crown and Raging Bolt, respectively. A defining characteristic of Raging Bolt is its incredibly long neck, which has generated quite a bit of buzz on social media. As it turns out, somePokemon Scarlet and Violetfan art predicted Raikou’s Paradox form having a long neck, though the official version definitely takes the long neck to the next level.
Artist Bulbbyboi designed their own take onRaikou’s Paradox formthat resembles the official version, though there are still some major differences. Even so, it’s interesting to see how thisPokemon Scarlet and Violetfan art seemingly predicted one of the most defining features of Raikou’s Paradox form.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violetfan arthas been largely focused on Paradox forms, with artists imagining prehistoric and futuristic versions of existing Pokemon. It will be interesting to see if Paradox forms return in futurePokemongames or if the concept is left by the wayside. While some fans enjoy the twists Paradox forms bring to existing Pokemon designs, others have called them out for being lazy compared to completely original Pokemon creations.
Rumor has it that there are still somenew Pokemon inPokemon Scarlet and Violet’s DLCthat have yet to be revealed, so it’s possible fans have even more Paradox forms to discover. For now,Pokemonfans can look forward to the new Pokemon coming to The Teal Mask on September 13 while they wait for more news on The Indigo Disk’s release date.
