The Ritualist focuses heavily on negative status effects. Offense-wise, it can apply and spread conditions while gaining increased damage and other benefits when fighting debuffed enemies. It’s Prime Perk, Vile, inflicts theInfectedstatus on any target hit with another negative effect, greatly increasing the damage they take from Status Effects.

With the right build, Ritualists can inflict three or more status effects in a single weapon hit. Even without status-inflicting weapons, they can still spread DoTs by using their Miasma skill, which appliesBleeding, Burning, Overloaded, and Corrodedto everything within a certain radius. Ritualists can then detonate any enemy afflicted with a negative status withEruption, which deals more damage per unique status effect on a target.

Ritualists start with a unique armor set as well as the new Ritualist Scythe and Sparkfire Shotgun. The latter is especially useful for this archetype since it inflicts Burning with every shot.
