Although demos are great for offering a taste of what’s to come, they often end just as things are getting good, but a mod for theResident Evil 4remake demo has managed to essentially make it endless. There’sa lot to look forward to when it comes to horror gamingin the coming year, both in the AAA and indie scenes, andRE4is just one of a slew of releases that are hotly anticipated. Fortunately, there’s not long to wait until Capcom launches this modern take on the classic survival game.

Until then, thedemo for the remake ofResident Evil 4is available, giving fans the chance to see what lies in store on March 24. While it provides some insight into what can be expected when the final release comes out, it is a bit of a tease. However, that’s the nature of video game trials. Their intention is to be limited so as not to give the game away, so to speak, and while theRE4demo does end after a certain point, someone has managed to extend this for nearly endless playtime.

As spotted by The Gamer, Nexus Mods user FluffyQuack has taken this finite slice ofResident Evil 4and all but made it infinite. According to the description, “Never Bingo” removes the time and kill limits from the village portion of the demo, making it so that the infected villagers will continue to come after Leon. It also suggests that there won’t be a point when they stop their attack, which is where this chapter typically ends. This means players won’t get to hear Leon say the immortal words, “Where’s everyone going? Bingo?” However, it does mean the demo can be played for much longer.

Of course, the demo is still confined to this opening section of the game, but it means the player can stay in it for a bit longer, probably until they either die or run out of ammo. Still, given the hype, it’s not surprising that people want to get as much out of the trial as they can. It was also recently noted that theResident Evil 4demo has a secret hard mode, so that at least gives fans another reason to jump back in until the full release.

Although not as common in this era, demos are an important part of video gaming. They obviously don’t tell the full story, but all the best ones set up what’s to come, and if theRE4demonstration is anything to go by, fans won’t be disappointed with how Capcom has modernized this iconic entry in the influential horror series.

Resident Evil 4 Remakeis set to release on June 24, 2025, for PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
