Just over a week ago, Activision announced that the next mainlineCall of Dutygame would be a sequel to 2019’sCall of Duty: Modern Warfare.Now it seems as though a reputableCall of Dutyleaker has already revealed some details about the game’s multiplayer mode.

TheMW2Ghost has become a reputable leaker over the years after accurately predicting information relating to theCall of Dutyseries. The leaker recently revealed new information about the upcoming sequel to 2019’sCall of Duty: Modern Warfarein a series of tweets.

The leaker claims that movement in the upcoming game will be faster than inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare2019 but slower thanCall of Duty: Vanguard. The leaker has also stated that the map design in the game will be similar to that ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfare2019, with maps like Oil Rig, Khandor Hideout, and Sawmill possibly making a return with a fresh coat of paint or acting as inspiration for new maps. Leaker Tom Henderson has claimed that these new maps will be able to be enjoyed by players using last-generation consoles as well, asCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2is rumored to be cross-gen.

Some of the killstreaks said to be included in the game by TheMW2Ghost are the classic UAV, sentry, chopper gunner, and a new killstreak called “Soundwave” that is said to distort the hearing of other players when activated.

The classicCall of Dutymini-map is also rumored to be included in the game, but TheMW2Ghost noted that this could be subject to change, as the map fromCall of Duty: Modern Warfare2019 could also be used. ThenextCall of Duty: Warzoneis also said to release alongsideCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which is fitting considering that the originalCall of Duty: Warzonereleased alongsideCall of Duty: Modern Warfare2019.

Multiple other leaks in the past month have offered information aboutCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Oneleaker has claimed to reveal the cast ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2,which is said to feature Barry Sloane as Captain Price, Craig Fairbrass as Ghost, Neil Ellis as Soap MacTavish, and Troy Baker in an undisclosed role. Craig Fairbrass is an inclusion that may excite fans, as Fairbrass played Ghost in the originalCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2and was beloved by many fans of the series.

Other rumors pertaining to the game suggest that11 studios could be working onCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. This is a bold prediction, however, Activision will most likely be putting all of its resources to use for the upcoming game after the lukewarm reception ofCall of Duty: Vanguard.
