Grubb’s tweet was a quote-tweet in response to a question from another user. However, the answer Grubb gave would imply that the twoMetroid Primegames in question would be direct ports, not remasters. Ergo, this would mean thata graphical update similar toMetroid Prime Remasteredwould be unlikely.

Grubb previously stated in a recent podcast thatMetroid Prime Remasteredhad been ready to gofor a long time, adding that it was only a matter of when Nintendo gave its approval to release it. Given Nintendo’s penchant for shadow-dropping games on the Nintendo eShop following a Nintendo Direct, only time will tell if and when Grubb’s claims will come true.

In the meantime, players that want to check outMetroid Prime Remasteredwill have plenty to do while exploring Tallon IV. Withupdated control schemes that feature twin-stick controlsfor movement and aiming akin to modern FPS titles, to the motion controls reminiscent of the Wii release,Metroid Prime Remasteredis an excellent starting point for players looking forward to the eventual release ofMetroid Prime 4, whenever that may be.
