[UPDATE: The Pokemon Presents has proven the below “leak” false. ThePokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC “The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero” has been announced. Original story below.]
Ahead of the February 27 Pokemon Presents, a new leak claims fans will receive information regardingPokemon Mystery Dungeon, Pokemon Cafe, Pokemon Unite, Pokemon GO,Pokemon Scarlet and VioletDLC, and perhaps most surprisingly, a tease about the next “experimental” title, supposedly agame set in Johto.

It should be noted that the origin of this leak is 4chan. Nothing from there should be taken seriously and everything should be taken with an extra grain of salt; however, it is worth noting that a few accurate rumors and leaks have originated there before, even forPokemon Scarlet and Violet. One of its pre-release trailers was leaked there with highly-accurate details, so stranger things have happened.

This leak covers a lot of content, but of course, the two most exciting things are thePokemon Scarlet and VioletDLC “Holiday Tour” Pass and thePokemon Electrumproject. The former names thelong-rumored Paradox Suicune and Paradox Virizionas Storm Chaser and Iron Sickle. It gives some clues to themes and locations of the DLC, while also calling the thirdPokemon Scarlet and Violetlegendary Teraskalpa.Pokemon Electrumis apparently a new concept and experimental game for the franchise, perhaps something akin toPokemon Legends: Arceus, and is a 2.5D reimagining of Johto.
Pokemon Presents Leak
While all the details, as seen above, are exciting, there are a few potential hints this is fake. First off, it reads a lot like a fan wish list and is based on otherPokemon Scarlet and Violetrumors and leaks, at least to some degree. The inclusion of release dates and release windows are far too specific, especially sincePokemon Sword and Shield’s DLC reveal wasn’t as specific, andPokemon Electrumdefinitely sounds like a fan-titled project. On the flip side, some of the most common mistakes in a fake Pokemon leak, such as making names too long, don’t apply here. So, fans should take all of this with a massive grain of salt and wait to see what is officially confirmed.
Luckily, the wait for confirmation–one way or the other–is not a long one.The Pokemon Presents present takes placeon Monday, February 27 at 6 am PT/8 am CT. Whether this leak is confirmed or proven false, it does stand to reason thatPokemon Scarlet and VioletDLC will be there to some degree.
