Launching alongside the PlayStation 5 this November,Sackboy: A Big Adventurelooks to bring the adorable protagonist of Media Molecule’sLittleBigPlanetseriesinto a new platforming-based adventure. Here, Sackboy will trade in the 2D style of his previous outings for a 3D viewpoint, as he traverses across large new environments with 60fps gameplay.

Ned Waterhouse, the design director forSackboy: A Big Adventureover at Sumo Digital, revealed more about the special editions for the upcomingPlayStation 5 launch titlein a recent PlayStation Blog post. The game will get two collector’s editions, with Waterhouse showing off a digital deluxe copy and a PlayStation 4-exclusive special edition that includes a few extra goodies for fans.

The Digital Deluxe Edition ofSackboy: A Big Adventureis available for both PlayStation 4 and 5, featuring tons of extra content. Alongside the full game, it offers a digital artbook, digital soundtrack, and four PlayStation 4-themed skins. These skins are all callbacks to some of the PS4’s most critically-acclaimed classics, includingDeath Stranding’sSam Porter Bridges,Ghost of Tsushima’sJin Sakai,Detroit: BecomeHuman’s Connor,andDays Gone’s Deacon St. John.

All four characters will also come with unique emotes. The Digital Deluxe Edition will also include 20 Sackboy avatars, perfect for those looking to spruce up their PSN account as they transition to the next generation.

ThePlayStation 4-exclusiveSpecial Edition includes a physical version of the artbook and a Sackboy keychain. Sumo Digital has seemingly gone all out to provide some fun additional goodies for fans ofLittleBigPlanetwho want to buy the more expensive versions of the game.

On top of both special editions, Waterhouse also said players who pre-orderSackboy: A Big Adventurewill get a story-focused bonus to go alongside the game. That bonus is a digital comic titledGathering Stormwhich acts as a prequel for Sackboy’s former mentor Scarlet, who the PlayStation Blog reveals is “Craftworld’s last remaining knitted knight.”

The bonus, alongside the rest of the special edition extras, will make for solid additional content for those looking to invest more inSackboy’sworld when the game debuts. Hopefully, the quality of the special editions will match that of the game itself, withSackboy: A Big Adventureprimed to potentially reignite theLittleBigPlanetfanbase when it launches alongside the PlayStation 5.
