Skyrim Guards

Meanwhile, these NPCs show they aren’t afraid of a goodconversation with the Dragonbornthemselves, as they quell the player’s interest with their witty charisma. These characters have easily made the player do their bidding or took minutes out of the player’s gameplay to chat and therefore these are some of the most charismatic characters in the game.

8Any Guard In Skyrim

Starting off simply, the typicalSkyrimguard is not only one of themost remembered NPCsof the game but also the one that is likely to talk to the player the most. These sons and daughters of Skyrim litter each and every town the player visits, hoping to keep the people inside safe while also handing over any information they have for a person like the Dragonborn.

Yes, sometimes they can be very defensive, threatening the player to keep their hands to themselves if they’re a thief or pointing out the fur coming from their ears if they’re a werewolf; otherwise, the guards are always ready for a conversation with a great adventure like the player.

7M’aiq The Liar

As a recurring character and fan-favorite ofThe Elder Scrollsfranchise, M’aiq the Liar can be found in various locations when traveling the Wilderness of Skyrim. Like the guards, he won’t hold a continuous conversation, but his charisma is unmatched through his hilarious lines that either quote other games or talk about his past adventures.

This Khajiit will have the Dragonborn going out of their way to stop whenever they see him. Even if this catdressed like a monkis being battled by a Frostbite Spider; the player will feel compelled to give the feline a hand before spending the next couple of minutes chatting until M’aiq gets bored by the player.

6Jarl Balgruuf

Jarl Balgruuf is arguably the first Jarl a player is likely to meet if they follow the main story ofSkyrimall the way to Whiterun as their first location. Due to his connection to the main story as well as his role in the civil war quest line of the game, players are likely to encounter Balgruuf again and again.

This character of great power is shown to be quite charismatic due to how his city is the only city in the entire ofSkyrimthat has attempted to stay neutral during the war that has taken over the land. While many others have decided to side with the Empire or the Stormcloaks, Jarl Balgruuf has managed to remain neutral. Players will have to challenge this Jarl’s charisma if they hope to help him pick a side in the fast-approaching war.

5Serana

Arriving at the game with theDawnguardDLC, Serana isa potential followerand friend of the Dragonborn. Although she’s a vampire, players don’t need to worry about her drinking the players' blood or threatening to kill them at any given chance, and she considers the player to be an undead lifesaver.

Although she’s been trapped away for centuries, Serana proves herself to be quite a conversationalist as she warms up to the player throughout the main story of the DLC. Like many other followers, she will occasionally make her opinion known about a place the Dragonborn has visited. Serana seems to have more freedom than other followers too as she reacts to her surroundings, this only adds to her charm.

4Paarthurnax

As the Dragonborn, the player has been tasked with defeating the Dragons that have somehow returned to Skyrim since Alduin has awakened. Recruiting the aid of the Blades –An Order sworn to protect Tamriel and the Empire– will urge the player to destroy every dragon they see; this includes the friendly Paarthurnax. Early into the main story players will require the help of this Dragon that stays with the Greybeards to find out how to defeat Alduin.

Once the foe has been slain the final quest will be to return and defeat Paarthurnax. This is a quest many players refuse to complete, turning their back on the Blades. This is only possible due to how Charismatic Paarthurnax is, especially due to how peaceful this ancient beast is when compared to the others met.

3Belethor

Merchants are unsurprisingly some of the most charismatic people in the game. Players that are looking for a good deal on their wares or when purchasing others will want to have a decent speech skill before expecting a discount. However, out of all the merchants in the game, Belethor; the owner of Belethor’s Goods in Whiterun, is arguably one of the best.

Besides doing all the usual merchant things a player will need. Belethor has some of the funniest lines in the game, one of the most remembered being how he confirms to the player that everything is for sale, and if he had a sister, he would sell her instantly. Some guards may refer to Belethor asa sleazy little man, but many players may see the charm of this charismatic Breton.

2Ralof

“Hey, you, you’re finally awake.” are thefirst lines mutteredby this son ofSkyrimwhen players open their eyes for the first time in the title and meet the gaze of Ralof. Although a Stormcloak, Ralof shows nothing but kindness to the player when they start their journey as he sits alongside them in the cart, ready to meet their end.

If players choose to follow Ralof into the keep during the tutorial and then proceed to Riverwood together, players will learn even more about the blonde soldier that helps the player get their bearings in this expansive RPG. The man has plenty to talk about for a player that has time to listen.

1Brynjolf

Unsurprisingly, out of all the characters in Skyrim, the character that is by far the most charismatic must be the member of the Thieves Guild, Brynjolf. Players will first meet Brynjolf when they visit Riften, he will seek out the player in the tavern to use his charismatic ways to encourage the player into a bit of thieving.

However, his charismatic ways don’t stop here as Brynjolf plans to play the distraction in this job. It is shown from the dialogue of this that listening to his scam that this isn’t the first time he has tried to show off an item to get people to buy it; yet theother people of Riftencontinue to fall for his disguise, only to get robbed once again.
