Neon is a city with a dubious reputation to say the least. Beneath the bright lights and abundant wealth of the city’s upper districts lies a pit of corruption and criminality. Located on the planet Volii Alpha within the Volii system,Starfieldplayers will be required to travel here for a variety of quests, but the city offers even more than it might first seem. In addition togang wars and corporate espionage, the city is also a major hub for the production and smuggling of Aurora, a hallucinogenic drug derived from the Chasmbass fish, which will slow time for the player and can be very useful in combat.

Players who spoke with Neshar and completed the quest “Loose Ends” will get a first-hand glimpse into how the production line works. The mission “Fishy Business” will be triggered upon completion of “Loose Ends” and will give the player the opportunity to learn how to craft thepsychedelic substancefor themselves.

Deal With Felix

As is often the way in Neon, getting a job means replacing another person, and in this case, the job role of Aurora smuggler was previously held by a character named Felix Sadler. Yannick complains that Felix is too much of a liability and is siphoning drugs from the supply line for himself.Starfieldplayers are tasked with finding Felix and dealing with him by either killing him or peacefully requesting that he leave Neon for good.

Felix can be found in Warehouse 01, the same location players will visitduring the mission “The Audition"when working for The Strikers. He is guarded by four Syndicate gang members, who will immediately become hostile upon the player’s entrance. These enemies shouldn’t pose much of a threat, and players can proceed to either kill Felix or convince him to leave.

Now that Felix has been dealt with, players must report back to Yannick who presents them with their next assignment. In order to create more Blend, Yannick needs to learn how to produce Aurora and a steady supply chain of it. For this, players will be required to apply for a job at Xenofresh. By heading to Trade Tower and then taking the elevator up to the Xenofresh Corporate HQ level, players can submit a job application after which they will be enrolled for an interview.

Next, players must headdown to the Xenofresh factorylocated on the level below Ebbside. It can be accessed via the inward-facing elevators on the outer edges of the district. One inside, players must speak to Valentina Gurov, who provides them with a uniform and a brief outline of the work required. After equipping the uniform, Valentina will then lead players down into the facility to explain the production process.

Starfield Walkthrough Fishy Business Aurora Production

Making Aurora

Once inside the production facility, players will be faced with three main stations: a Pharmaceutical Lab workbench, a conveyer belt and a box in which to place the finished products located at the far end of the room. Players will get one practice run at creating the Aurora, after which they must produce three in under a minute each time.

Upon “clocking in” to the shift, the conveyer belt will produce a small box of materials, players can take all of these, even theexcess materials which are not requiredfor Aurora production. Next, by heading to the Pharmaceutical Lab workbench, players will be able to construct Aurora using the ingredients: Hallucinogen, Benzene, Stimulant and Chasmbass Oil. Completion of this quest is the only way to learn the recipe for Aurora, after will players will be able to freely produce it at any workbench, provided they have the requisite ingredients.

Once the production is complete three times over, players should head to the Canteen area and speak with a character there named Robie Hennigar. She explains that she is also an insider working for Yannick, and that she will provide coordinates for further packages to Yannick. Following this, players are to return to Yannick, where he is confronted with none other than Benjamin Bayu himself. Intypical Neon fashion, a deal can be worked out between the two parties to ensure the continuity of Yannick’s “Blend” production as well as a reasonable profit for Bayu. After this, players will be ready to start “Supply Line”, the final mission in the Aurora quest-line.
