With the release of the Season 2 patch, Capcom rebalanced allStreet Fighter 6characters. TheStreet Fighter 6update made adjustments to mechanics such as Drive Parry and wakeup Drive Reversal, along with changes to reduce the number of missed or accidental special moves. But one of the most eagerly awaited parts of the patch was the arrival of Akuma inStreet Fighter 6, bringing an iteration of the iconic character with an even more intimidating presence. As a result, Akuma’s debut madeStreet Fighter 6experience a new spike in its player count. AndStreet Fighter 6players wasted no time discovering two special tools in Akuma’s arsenal.

Street Fighter 6players have discovered that Akuma has two super secret moves. Despite not being listed in the fighter’s move list, players quickly found out about the attacks, as reported by Twitter user DelilahFGC. It all starts by performing Akuma’s secret taunt by holding down the six buttons and then smashing them. The demon will start eating a rice ball, and when he’s finished, he can perform the ground slam Kongou Kokuretsuzan fromStreet Fighter 3: Third Strike. The second super secret is Misogi, first seen inShin Akuma in Capcom vs. SNK 2. So, whileStreet Fighter 6fighters have three super moves, Akuma has seven abilities.
Akuma’s Secret Specials in Street Fighter 6 Are Cool, But Not Competitively Viable
While Akuma’s super secrets made clever nods to the demon’s passages in other games, the possibility of using them inStreet Fighter 6tournaments is questionable. Akuma’s secret taunt animation lasts 30 seconds, leaving the fighter with his back turned to his opponent. Despite their inviability in tournaments, now that the super secrets have been discovered, the community is curious to see if any players will attempt the feat withStreet Fighter 6at EVO 2024.
With the start of Season 2, players' attention also turn toStreet Fighter 6’s next DLC characters. Before Akuma,Street Fighter 6added Rashid and Ed, along with newcomer A.K.I, who became playable after her first appearance in aStreet Fighter 5side story.
