The First Descendantis filled with sub-mechanics to be aware ofandto stay on top of. Players will come across manydifferent modulesin the game. Out ofall the modules in the game, players will need to know which will be the best picks for the characters they prefer — and not use up theirimportant resourcesin upgrading the wrong ones.
It is best to save resources for modules players know they will be using in the end game, andonly upgrading thosewhile progressing through the story, which is why it is a good idea to find a good build guide first.

How To Upgrade Modules In The First Descendant
Players will first need tohead to Albion. Albion has 2fast travel points, with one being the dedicated option when logging into the game. Players will first need to open their map and zoom out to see the second fast travel point, located in the bottom left of the map. Once here, players need to run straight and make a left turn before the wall so they canget to Silion. This NPC will allow players toEnhance Modules, Dismantle Modules, and Combine Modules.
Players will be able to Enhance their modules by paying a cost of bothgold and Kuiper. Enhancing modules will also raise the Capacity Cost, so players will need toincrease their Max Capacity.

Players will come across numerous duplicate modules in the game, but they cannot have multiple of the same module on the same weapon or character. This is where Dismantling Modules will come in handy. Dismantling Modules is one of the ways players will be able tosee a consistent flow of Kuiper, one of the resources they will need a lot of inThe First Descendant.Combine Moduleslets players select 4 modules they do not want in the hopes of getting something they do want, but dismantling for Kuiper is a great way to always know you are getting something you will be using later in the game.

Which Modules To Upgrade In The First Descendant
Players will find many modules that are viable for any and all missions, such as those that boost their weapon’s attack damage — likethe Action and Reaction rare module. These modules are a great choice for casual players to upgrade at any point in the game as they will help them progress much faster. However, players that are more savvy should save up all of their resources until they know exactly which character they will be using for end-game activities.
They should then pull up a dedicated guide for that character to see which modules they should get for that character, and then invest their resources in upgrading those specific build modules.
Players will want to have modules that can add damage of specific types on hand when it comes totoppling specific colossi like the Stunning Beauty.
