There are a lot of ways to upgrade Sylas throughoutThe Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story. At first, players can buy spells from Leilani, which also unlock other upgrade modes, such as ways to increase his Mana bar. After that, more NPCs will be added to the rebel camp so that players may diversify their version of Sylas any way they like.

Most upgrade paths use a singlecurrency in RPGswhich is rare to see in a game likeThe Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story. This does give players the advantage to be less confused. So, of the many upgrades in the game, here are some of the best to focus on with all of the vendors.
4Leilani’s Upgrades
Leilani is the first upgrade node players can unlock inThe Mageseeker: A League Of Legends Story. She was in charge of the rebels before she met up with Sylas. Her spell-casting knowledge is great, which is why players can unlock spells from her. Sylas has a unique gift that allows him to copy abilities from enemies in the fieldsort of like Mega Manexcept only temporarily. That’s where Leilani comes in to play who can unlock any spell players have copied at least once for a fee.
Players begin with the free spell of Fireball but they can also grab Icicle. That should be the first purchase in Leilani’s shop. There are lots of great spells to choose from as the game goes on, but that’s a whole other feature. Besides spells, players can also increase Sylas’ Mana pool. The more Mana he has, the more spells he can cast in battle. Also, some spells eat up a lot of Mana which is generally how upgrade paths work in action RPGs with robust magic systems.
3Rukko Upgrades
Rukko is the second character who sets up a shop in the rebel base camp. Sylas treats him appropriately like a child at first because he is one. However, during the prison break, Rukko demonstrates his skills with both his hammer and his magic. He’s like a mini version ofThor from the Marvel comics. Now, like many shops inThe Mageseeker: A League Of Legends Story, Rukko has some general stat boosts players can purchase.

They can upgrade the health and defense of Sylas along with the power of his attack and magic skills. Upgrading stats like these is a good idea for any action RPG, but there is something even better players should focus on first. The three best upgrades under Rukko’s umbrella are his spell slots. Players begin the game with one spell slot, but they can unlock three more for a total of four from Rukko. The more spell slots players have, the more spells they can experiment with in the field without having to constantly switch them out at checkpoint vendors.
2Kara Upgrades
Kara is a lost elder who Leilani tries to bring back via Sylas. It takes about a third of the way through the game but once rescued, she can be a big help to the team. Like Rukko, she can increase Sylas’ basic stats such as health, defense, attack power, and magic power. Her best upgrades lie in Sylas' secret ability, Unchained Mode. This special ability is likeThe Mageseeker: A League Of Legends Story’sversion of going into aSuper Saiyan trance like in theDragon Ballseries.

In this state, Sylas will become stronger but certain relics obtained through story missions can unlock new abilities while going into Unchained Mode too. The more enemies players defeat, the faster the meter will grow so that players can go into this alternative state. There are also three upgrades that will make Unchained Mode better. Righteous Fury, for example, will heal players once they go into this state. There’s an upgrade that will increase how fast players can get into Unchained Mode and another that will increase the duration. The more powerful Unchained Mode is, the easier it will be to deal with boss battles.
1Aidan Upgrades
Aidan is a potion maker by trade and is the one responsible for giving Sylas a way to heal early on in the game. At first, players can heal three times with these potions and they will recharge at checkpoints in missions. It’s similar to how healing objects work ina lot of Souls-like gamesakin toElden Ring. They don’t heal for much, but they will do in a pinch. Funnily, Aidan does not join Sylas after this, but he will about halfway throughThe Mageseeker: A League Of Legends Storywhich is when he opens up an upgrade shop in the rebel camp.
Players can increase how many potions they carry with an upgrade by one, giving them a total of four potions. They can also buy two upgrades to increase their healing potency of them. Aidan’s best upgrade is his final one in the skill tree called Guardian Angel. Purchasing this will allow players to revive once per battle sort of like another Souls-like adventure,Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. It should also be noted that players can increase Sylas’ health and defense with Aidan.
