After two years without a new entry within EA’sUFCseries, many fans will be anticipating an announcement for the unannouncedUFC 5. This won’t come as a surprise to players, as EA’s format with other titles such asFIFAorBattlefieldis often in the matter of yearly releases. But based on previousUFCentries, there is a pattern of a two-year gap before an inevitable announcement and release.

As fans await the aftermath of EA’s next movein the release of the newFIFA 23, fans will be expecting a new title to theUFCseries which will give them the optimal experience they have been hoping for.
7Octagon Interviews
Many UFC fans will be aware of the famous interviews in the octagon after Bruce Buffer declares the winner. The inclusion of interviews within the octagon in both players' career mode, exhibition, or online play will elevate the game to an entirely new level, which will give fans an increased amount of immersion. It must also factor in the case of voice lines to choose from, with actual voices heard.
This was a prominent feature in EA’sDef Jam Fight For New Yorkin 2004, which gave players the ability to choose which type of voice their created character would use. Adding this feature would set the new title far above its predecessors, giving created characters a new embodiment like never before.

6Press Conferences Improved
Similar to recent FIFA titles, EA must reinvent press conferences rather than rare cutscenes or ones which don’t appear to offer much control to the player. If EA wishes to put fans in the shoes of fighters and allow them to experience realistic cutscenes and scenarios with opponents, this would be one of the most important factors to consider.

Given the groundwork which has already been seen inUFC 3and4, the only way is up for developers in this circumstance in the aspect of a major overhaul to what is already impressive.
5In-Depth Career Mode
Based on the current titles within the franchise, fans will know of the little number of upgraded features in transition fromUFC 3to4. This ranges from theaddition of a storyline starting off with a coach, to adding a few new cutscenes and interactions on the players' social media platforms. To revamp this game mode, EA must give fans much more flexibility and have more scenarios simulate real-life circumstances.
Unfortunately, options such as moving down a weight class are only dependent on whether the player is losing matches, and are not a given option if the player continues to win. This means players who started their career modes in a certain weight division, will potentially miss out on bouts withother fightersbased on their own performances. When creating a simulation as such, it can come down to the very few features which could drastically alter the immersion, so this is a prominent change that is needed.

4Similar Gameplay To Previous Entries
Many players will be aware of the drastic change of controls in the jump fromUFC 3toUFC 4, as the addition of new combinations and controls gave players an entirely new system to adjust to. It included unusual controls and combinations to pull off certain moves, along with the change of thehead movement.
If there is any way for EA to revisit the gameplay of the previous titles in any way, it would be incredibly beneficial in the idea of simple controls for players to maintain and memorize.

3Contract Negotiations
Players must have full control and flexibility with contract negotiations in the sequel, as only having the option to add bonuses isn’t very realistic. Asthe newFIFA 23revealed, anoverhaul will be implemented within both the player and manager career mode, giving players the flexibility of having a prominent role in the midst of negotiations.

It is only reasonable for aUFCsequel to follow suit, and even improve on the matter which will contribute to the level of immersion and realism EA will surely be aiming for.
2Custom Soundtrack Option
This is another integral feature many of EA’s franchises have been missing. Whether this comes down to copyright issues or difficulty integrating the feature into each game’s system, is still unknown. This was possible in games such asFIFA 15, giving users the ability to upload their preferred music, or evenFIFA 13, which gave the option to add crowd chants with further audio customization.
In theUFC, entrances play a major part in fans' love for athletes within the mixed martial arts sport. Players will almost certainly wish to fully customize their experience to fit their own playstyle, and giving access to custom themes for walkouts would be a vast improvement.

1Improved Commentary
The omission of Joe Rogan as a commentator in UFC 4 was a surprise to most fans, ashe revealed his lack of enjoyment in doing so. Without the iconic voice lines and dramatic expressions of Rogan, fans could feel as though there is a crucial part missing from the entries, as it was so forUFC 4. Hope remains regarding his return, but players will have to wait and see in light of a new game being announced.
Regardless of whether a return for Joe Rogan to the commentary team is possible or not, EA must ensure that the commentary is vastly improved and open for more variety. It can become tedious hearing the same voice lines or similar ones after each bout, so the addition of an increased amount of voice lines for specific scenarios would heavily benefit the new title, and push it towards the level many are anticipating.

UFC 4is available on Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
