Community, which ran for six seasons between 2009 and 2015, was notable for its takes on TV and film genres, meaning a feature film could go in many directions. However, it’s likely the film will answer a lot of questions fans have had since the show finished aired. These eight storylines are ones fans would love to see completed in this finale for the show.
8Troy’s Voyage With Levar Burton
The biggest question on the mind of everyCommunityfans relates to the appearance of Donald Glover as the show’s fan-favorite character, Troy Barnes. ThoughGlover is not confirmed to appear in the movie yet, it’s hard to imagine a feature-lengthCommunityfilm without him. It may be possible, however, since Glover left the show during its fifth season.
In order to receive his share of Pierce’s inheritance, Troy is tasked with the goal of sailing around the world. He doesn’t go alone, as Pierce has Troy journey with his childhood hero, Levar Burton. In season six, it’s mentioned that Troy and Levar ended up kidnapped by pirates, so a movie would be the perfect opportunity to find out what really happened.

7Abed And Annie’s New Careers
The season six finale ofCommunityfocuses on several of the core cast members leaving Greendale for good, putting their future in jeopardy. Among them, Annie gets a job for the FBI, while Abed accepts a production assistant job on a TV show. To the despair of McHale’s Jeff Winger, everyone but him is leaving Greendale.

In aCommunitymovie, it makes sense that fans would get to catch up with these characters post-season six. Jeff is likely still working at Greendale, but how have things progressed for Abed and Annie? Perhaps Abed has upgraded to producing documentary films, while Annie is a professional FBI agent.
6The Mystery Of The Ass-Crack Bandit
The season 5 episode “Basic Intergluteal Numismatics"plays off the tropes of crime dramas, as a mysterious assailant known as the Ass-Crack Bandit terrorizes Greendale by dropping quarters into his victim’s pants. It’s a good opportunity for Jeff and Annie to team up as investigators, while Troy becomes a traumatized victim.
However, the investigation is cut short when Shirley reveals to the group that Pierce has passed away. The bandit is never revealed, though allusions are made to several characters, like Annie or Britta, being the potential Ass-Crack Bandit. Some theories even suggest that Pierce never really died, and was the real Ass-Crack Bandit all along.

5Jeff’s Love Life
The entire premise ofCommunityis kick-started by Jeff Winger’s attempt to flirt with Gillian Jacobs' Britta. Jeff’s romantic pursuit of Britta is a driving force of the first season, until he unexpectedly finds himself developing feelings for Alison Brie’s Annie. The love triangle continues late into the show, but especially the series finale in season 6.
As Annie prepares to leave Greendale, Jeff confesses to her that he loves her and may never be able to let her go. Annie encourages Jeff to grow up before kissing him, but it will be interesting to see how Jeff’s romantic troubles continue into the movie. Will there be a chance for him and Annie to reconcile, or has Jeff truly moved on from his old crush?

4Abed’s Relationship
In season 4, Abed finds a romantic relationship in Rachel, a girl who works the coat check at Greendale’s many dances. Played by Brie Larson, fans regarded Rachel as one of the best parts of the show’s panned fourth season. She was even liked enough by series creator Dan Harmon to be brought back for a few episodes in the fifth season.

While Brie Larson’s availability in the show was limited due to her rising film career, perhaps the actress will make an appearance in theCommunitymovie. Abed acknowledges the disappearance of her character in season six, but perhaps they’ve been able to rekindle their relationship. Perhaps she’ll even have to compete with Troy.
3The Air-Conditioning Repair School
The third season ofCommunityfinds Troy being recruited to Greendale’s Air Conditioning Repair School, which evolved from a trade school to a secret society led byJohn Goodman’s Vice Dean Laybourne. Troy eventually enrolls as part of a deal with Laybourne, where he discovers that he’s destined to be “The Truest Repairman.”
After exposing Laybourne’s murder being caused by Murray, Troy’s recruiter at the A/C Repair School, Troy has Murray arrested and tells the school to become normal. It’s unknown what happens to the trade school from there, but perhaps the movie will answer that question. Maybe they’ve regrown their strength since the end of season six.

2Greendale Vs. City College
A major antagonist throughout most of the show’s early seasons is City College, a rival community college in Colorado. Even though City College is a far better school than Greendale, they’re committed to taking down their enemy. Additionally, Dean Pelton has a strange, sexual-tension-filled rivalry with the school’s own dean, Spreck.
1The Evil Study Group
The fan-favorite episode in season 3, “Remedial Chaos Theory,” explores alternate universes that stem from a roll of the dice by Jeff. In one of these alternate universes, tragedy befalls the study group, turning them evil and determined to invade the prime timeline. This conflict becomes a major part of the Harmon-less fourth season.
In the fourth season, the Evil Study Group escape the Darkest Timeline after a failed attempt in season 3. However, the finale finds the study group fighting the invading Evil Study Group and sending them back to their timeline.Given Harmon’s involvement inRick & Morty, maybe theCommunitymovie will continue to explore the multiverse.
