The video shown is pre-alpha footage, but it does a good job of showcasing the vision of the game. It looks like players will be able to wield varied weapons and abilities, with some characters using military-style guns, while others are seen slashing and dashing with swords and blades. Players also look to have pretty interesting movement mechanics, including the ability to jump long distances and even climb up buildings. So far the video and announcement have received varied reception. It currently has almost the same number of thumbs downs as thumbs ups on the trailer. While the battle royale genre may be starting to get stale for some, it also seems a bit controversial to add the multiplayer game within thenarrative world ofVampire: The Masquerade.

Vampire: The Masqueradecontinues to see support, with Shadows of New York being the newest edition. Creating more games within the world, even in entirely different genres, is a great way to grow a franchise.
