Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhuntfeatures several playable archetypes, each inspired by the tabletop game or otherVampire: The Masquerademedia. The Toreador Muse is an excellent archetype for group matches, with powers that allow it to improve the survivability of its team via healing. It also performs well in solo play due to its aforementioned healing and ability to use powers even while downed.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhuntis a free-to-play battle royale by Sharkmob set in the World of Darkness. A bloodhunt has been called and the streets and rooftops will soon run red with the blood. Players must survive the night by acquiring weapons and resonant blood while fighting other vampires, all the while watching for the ever-encroaching red gas that slowly reduces the available space.

Powers

The Toreador are known as the “Clan of the Rose” and are renowned for their obsession with grace, beauty, and the arts. They specialize in the disciplines of Auspex, Celerity, and Presence. The Toreador Muse makes use of both Celerity and Presence in their move set.

The ToreadorClan Power “Projection/Dash"allows them to send out a projection of themselves, which they can then transport themselves to by pushing the button a second time. This allows the power to serve as both a traversal option and a distraction. Players could, for example, send a projection away from themselves before entering a building or turning a corner and then use the teleport to escape if they encounter something dangerous. While the projection does not stay in place permanently, it does last a decent amount of time, allowing for flexibility in timing.

The MuseArchetype Power “Rejuvenating Voice"allows them to project an AoE field that heals both the player and nearby allies. This can be channeled for several seconds to continue rapidly regenerating health. Along with being indispensable in team play, this skill can also be used after breaking line of sight as emergency healing, reducing the need to carry blood bags and syringes (though having a few handy is still useful.) An important synergy with this power is that it also generates the same healing field around any active projections from Projection/Dash, allowing healing to be thrown to allies at a distance with clever use of both abilities.

The Muse also has thePassive Power “Final Death,“allowing them to reset their cooldowns when downed and use their abilities even while downed. This is exceptionally handy for repositioning after getting downed and evading death or diablerie until the timer runs out, and the player can revive.

Preferred Weapons

The Muse is at its best when keeping a healthy distance from their foes, so mid-long range weaponry is ideal.Marksman Rifles and Assault Rifles perform very well in this role, as does the 9-Barrelled. These weapons perform excellently at mid-long range and can still be used at close-range to a certain degree. The crossbow is useful for laying down gas clouds and manipulating enemy positions, and the burst rifle acquired from the Entity NPCs around the city also serves the Muse well.

In singleplayer or multiplayer it’salways especially useful to have faster cooldowns on Projection/Dash and Rejuvenating Voice. This means that phlegmatic and melancholic resonances are ideal for the archetype, reducing the cooldown times of Archetype Powers and Clan Powers respectively (10%, 25%, and then 50% cooldown reduction as the player amasses additional copies of a resonance).

Resonance is a mechanic carried over from the tabletop game, providing vampires with various bonuses based on the emotional state of a victim they take blood from.
