Apple TV Plushas released the first trailer for their upcoming seriesFraggle Rock: Back to the Rock.The show is a reboot ofFraggle Rock, originally created by Jim Henson (who also createdThe Muppets) that ran from 1983-1987. Now, this musical series has been revived for 13 full-length episodes that will be bursting with humour, action, and adventure.
TheFraggle Rockseries surrounds the interconnected societies ofMuppetcreatures within their underground civilization. This remake, run by Matt Fusfeld and Alex Cuthbertson (who have alsoworked onCommunityandNew Girl), is staying true to the original show with the return of cherished characters Gobo, Red, Boober, Mokey and Wembley. It is clear that thisFraggle Rockre-creation will be a fresh piece of entertainment for some and a nostalgic trip back into childhood for others.

The trailer forFraggle Rock: Back to the Rockfeatures catchy songs, eye-grabbing visuals, and plenty of humour. It explores the comical lives of the Fraggles and the mischief they get up to as they live among one another, away from the rest of society. The advanced set is vastly different from the basic props usuallyseen in puppet tv, as this new show features rockets, caves with glowing ponds, and water slides. Although the Fraggles have a sense of wonderment of what exists outside their home, the trailer’s flashing party lights and atmospheric score depicts Fraggle Rock as the only place anyone would want to be.
Apple TV Plus have long been aFraggle Rockfan, as it currently streams the originalFraggleseries on the platform and released a number of original shorts in 2020 titledFraggle Rock: Rock On. Now, it will treat fans to even more content in thisslapstick comedy showwith snappy songs that are sure to be stuck in everyone’s head for a week. Along with this, the new series will include guest performers such as Patti LaBelle, Kenan Thompson and the Foo Fighters.
