It’s not that fireworks are absent fromWoWat other times of the year. Plenty of characters run the Scarlet Monastery just to raid their store of red fireworks in the Armory. During the Lunar Festival, there are an impressive array of explosive toys for characters to enjoy. Some are just for the sake of watching the world explode and burn, but others grant buffs, harm enemies, and can be used to complete Achievements.
1Lucky Cluster Rocket
This firework is a reward for completing the seasonal quest Elune’s Blessing. Set off a few and it also gives the player a buff called Lunar Fortune, which improves their health by an extra 250 points.

Any cluster rocket will do for the quest, and other types of cluster rockets are available from the holiday vendors. The Lucky Cluster Rockets are only obtained from the Red Envelopes that a character gets in the mail after visiting an Elder, which makes it sound like there aren’t very many. However, if a character visits all the Elders, they’ll have more than their bags can carry.
2Cluster Rockets
There are regular cluster rockets that come in shades of green, red, and blue. These are available from vendors in major cities and by using regular money as opposed to the special holiday currency.
Players canstock up on the red varietyof cluster rockets to finish one of the related Achievements, “The Rocket’s Red Glare” which requires the player to set off ten Red Cluster Rocket clusters in 25 seconds or less. Red is the most important color for this festival, and it dominates most of the decorations and clothing. The character needs to be near rocket launchers for this to work.

3Festival Firecracker
Something like this is one of the most common fireworks that’s also found in real-life. Also referred to as bang-snaps, this class of fireworks doesn’t need a launcher, which means it’s usable anywhere. They can be purchased from vendors in major cities, and besides being fun to throw at any time, anywhere, they’re alsoused to complete an Achievement.
“Frenzied Firecracker” requires the player to set off ten of these in less than 30 seconds. At least it’s impossible to burn anything down or blow any real fingers off by doing so in the game.

4Large Rocket
Like the cluster rockets, these also come in three colors, but unlike the cluster rockets, they can’t be purchased from vendors by themselves. One other difference is the yellow variety, which replaces blue. They might be included in the variety of fireworks contained in the Lunar Festival Fireworks Pack or found in a Lucky red Envelope.

Unlike cluster rockets or firecrackers, these don’t have any other use besides exploring in a cascade of fiery sparks and burning paper. As with other rockets, they need rocket launchers to work.
5Small Rocket
These are the most common fireworks for the Lunar Festival because players have a variety of ways to get them. They’re part of the selectionof fireworks included in the Lunar Festival Fireworks Pack, which is a reward for completing the seasonal quest. For five Coins of Ancestry, it’s available from Valadar Starsong in Nighthaven.
They may be small, but there are white, blue, yellow, red, and green ones, and they pack a wallop with the widest variety of colors of any other firework. As with most other fireworks, players will need to stand near the rocket launchers to set them off.

Other Seasonal Light Sources
It’s all about looking for the light and following it, a lesson for real life and in theWorld of Warcraft. When every firework has burned up, here are a few more ways to find some illumination.
