September follows this trend by offering a collectible from theWoWTCG. From now through September 28, players who have Amazon Prime subscriptions can get the Tabard of Brilliance for free with the click of a button. This stylish silver and black tabard is a fantastic addition to aWorld of Warcraftplayer’s transmog collection, but if fans don’t have a Prime subscription, they can still claim this reward if they have access to a free trial of Amazon Prime.
Unlike mostWorld of WarcraftTrading Card Game items, the Tabard of Brilliance was not actually tied to the code on a specific card. Instead, it was claimed by redeeming UDE points from Upper Deck back when the company was printing the TCG. Players earned these points by redeeming codes found on inserts in each pack, but the Tabard of Brilliance costed a whopping 2000 UDE points. Considering the limited supply, buying the Tabard of Brilliance would cost players between $400 and $800 before this promotion, though it would also sometimes appear on the Black Market Auction House for in-game Gold.
While some players who had previously spent hundreds of dollars or thousands of Gold to earn the tabard are upset it is free now, the majority of players are excited for the chance to get the Tabard of Brilliance. The item’s colors make it a great option for designing transmogs and keeping it exclusive just because of the discontinued TCG seemed like a waste. Most fans hope to see moreunobtainableWorld of Warcraftitemsgiven away through Prime Gaming or Twitch Drops.
World of Warcraftdoes not have any active Twitch Drop campaigns right now, but players shouldn’t be surprised if it announces one soon.Patch 10.1.7 comes toWorld of Warcrafton September 5, and Patch 10.2 will probably drop a month or two later, so either one of these releases could theoretically get a Twitch Drop campaign if players are lucky.
