August may be wrapping up, with many fans looking forward to all the new games, subscription service additions, and events taking place in September, butXbox Game Passis looking to wrap up with a bang. While August 31 is a sad day forXbox Game Pass since it’ll be losing some major games likeHades, August 30 is an almost perfect counterbalance to that.
Today, August 30,Xbox Game Passis adding four new games to the service. Each of today’s additions is a strong title for the service, but perhaps one stands out from the rest.

Ahead of other reviews, Edge Magazine gaveImmortalitya perfect 10/10 scorea few weeks back. This is noteworthy because the publication has only given 23 other games a perfect score since 1993, with the most recent beforeImmortalitybeingElden Ring. Of course, one publication is just one publication, but now that other reviews have poured in, it’s basically unanimously praised. The PC version ofImmortality, for example, has eighteen reviews—of those, there are eight perfect 10/10 scores and three that are below 90 (the lowest being 80). This makes its Metacritic score, as of this writing, a 92 granting it universal acclaim on the aggregate site. It also has a 92 on Xbox Series X, although with fewer reviews submitted so far.
Immortalityis Sam Barlow’s latest game, a known developer responsible for games likeHer StoryandTelling Lies.Immortalityis an FMV horror game where players have to solve the mystery of actress Marissa Marcel’s disappearance by studying clips from her films and more. With it on Game Pass, there’s little reason not to check it out.
