A marvel of technical prowess is shown as one player inThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdommanages to directly one-shots a boss on the ground from a sky island.Tears of the Kingdomis a game that allows for plenty of freedom in how a player can approach a situation, whether it be differing ways of entering fortresses, doing shrines, or even simply makingTears of the Kingdom’s hoverbikesto traverse Hyrule. The game just gives the players the tools and allows them to tackle the world in any way they want, which is what one player did in their way of taking down a certain boss.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomis home to many bosses which the player can fight. Some are simpler to fight, likeTears of the Kingdom’sbigBoss Bokoblins, while others are much more complicated, such as the Gleeoks. Sometimes, even, these bosses can have numerous modifiers that can ramp up the difficulty, like some Gleeoks being so hot they heat the surrounding area, making it hard to fight without losing hearts, while some bosses, like the Taluses, can have full groups of Bokoblins using them as an outpost.

It was this type of Talus that one player found a way to one-shot from way above on one ofTears of the Kingdom’s sky islands. Posting to aTears of the Kingdomsubreddit, user GirKart64 uploaded a clip of their invention that managed to take down the Talus in just one shot. The clip starts with the player setting up the contraption using the Auto-Build ability. The contraption is a set of explosive barrels stacked on top of each other, with three of the Wing Zonai devices working as the wings of the contraption, with what seem to be a glowing stone used as markers at the tips of the wings.

Once the player lets the contraption fall, the wings help it spin, giving it a little more accuracy as it falls to the ground. The player jumps after it, and once the Wings' durability is up, they disappear and let the barrels hurtle toward the earth. Once it reaches the surface, it hits a Talus directly on its weak spot, killing it and all the poor Bokoblins atop it; a better fate than the manyTears of the Kingdom’s Bokoblins drownedby one player’s hand.

With the freedom thatTears of the Kingdomallows its players, there is no end to the possibilities in players hands as they continue the brave the horrors that have befallen Hyrule. They could be finding new ways to cook their food in a rush, or developing anTears of the Kingdomattack dronethat can take down many of the game’s enemies. As the game continues to be played, there are sure to be more new contraptions being built that will make life in the game just a bit easier.
